Our Invest Telford strategy for fair and inclusive economic growth is built on the understanding that environmental responsibility and economic prosperity mutually dependent. In support of this we support our businesses to access energy saving and innovation projects and support groups of businesses to collaborate and connect.
 

Marches Energy Grant

The Marches Energy Grant (MEG) offers free advice, energy assessments and grants for energy efficiency and renewable energy measures to SMEs from all. The funding is also available to support community buildings.

Assessments are for SMEs who wish to use their energy more efficiently, reducing costs and improving environmental credentials. Grants worth up to £20,000 are available for eligible businesses.

Sustainability Health Check

Assess your company’s sustainability health. Research has shown that sustainability has real business benefits when integrated into a firm’s operations including improved brand image and competitive advantage, increased productivity, and profits, as well as reduced costs and waste.

To help businesses maximise their opportunities by adopting sustainability best practice, the Energy & Bioproducts Research Institute (EBRI) is offering one-to-one health checks.
During a 30-minute session, EBRI will discuss the sustainability challenge that your company is facing so that its team of experts can then devise a bespoke summary of their recommendations, research findings and other useful information to help your business.

Sustainability West Midlands

Sustainability West Midlands is the sustainability champion for the West Midlands. They are a not-for-profit company that works with the private, public and third sectors. Their role is to act as a catalyst for change through advice to leaders, by developing practical solutions with members and sharing success stories and best practice.
